The conference highlighted Wisconsin businesses that have met the new demands of this past year with creative, collaborative approaches and explored the unique challenges faced by minority and women-owned businesses. Keynote speaker, William Fruth, POLICOM Corporation shares the twenty wealth-producing industrial sectors that will grow in the 2020’s and how these will influence economic growth for communities across Wisconsin and the United States.     WEDA Governor’s Conference 2021 Keynote Address: William Fruth - Twenty for the Twenties William Fruth will identify the twenty, wealth producing industrial sectors which will grow in the 2020’s, which will influence economic growth for communities throughout the United States. Technology is changing everything’ including the economic structure of the United States. This can lead to expansive economic growth for many years if barriers to growth can be overcome or avoided. Advanced technology will cause an organic, market driven change in production and the expansion of ‘hidden’ and brand new industrial sectors, creating a huge marketplace for local economic development programs as millions of high-wage jobs will be created in communities which are prepared to meet the needs of these companies.
